About Us
Age Concern Banstead is an independent highly respected charity which has been operating since the 1960's .
Our services have been selected following surveys of what is needed by older people in the Banstead area and are not the same as may be offered by other local Age Concerns.
In recent years we have focussed mainly on providing a variety of services to older people to help them live safely, healthily and contentedly in their own homes.
Surveys show that older people in the area require and value all our services. Our clients tell us that they are well satisfied by the way the services are provided. Some of these services are shown on our "Services" page of this website.
We liaise with statutory and voluntary bodies to make best use of resources available to satisfy recognised needs and avoid duplication of effort. Some of these organisations are mentioned on the "Links" page.
Age Concern Banstead is a part of the federation of Age Concern organisations covering most of the country. This gives us access to some additional resources, expertise and information. It also commits us to meeting wide-ranging Quality Counts criteria relating to many aspects of the charity's management, administration, operation and the way in which services are provided.
We employ a small number of part-time staff but most of our work is carried out by volunteers. For information on opportunities available please turn to the "Volunteering" page.
