Fund Raising.

Age Concern Banstead runs a stall at a number of local charity events throughout the year. We sell a variety of items to raise funds, including cakes and plants. If you feel that you may be able to help us with these stalls please contact Rebecca in office....no experience is required!.

We are pleased to be able to report a very encouraging start to fund raising in this financial year 2011-2012.

We started the year with the Rotary Ramble 2011. Seven miles of hot work around Epsom Downsand Headley, three volunteers walked for ACB and when all proceeds are in should net some £400.00 for our coffers.

The annual Walton Pagent and May Day celebrations was next on the agenda and our two "office angels" were to the fore with a stall selling strawberries, cakes and soft drinks. Unfortunately strawberries did not seem to be the thing on the day but we still made a very useful £223.00 for a very hard day's work.

In July he Banstead fair was held in The Orchard and a small group headed by stalwart Betty Clarke raised £230.00 with sales of plants and cakes, also a very successful choc-o-holic raffle.

During October ACB intends to present at the Christmas fair in the Community centre on Saturday 1st October 2011. Where once again we will be selling Christmas cards etc.
