We have information on most topics which we have found by experience are relevant to older people in the area. If we cannot offer a service directly we may be able to guide you to an agency that can.
We provide free information and advice on a huge range of services. If there is something bothering you or you are not sure how to find the information that you need please contact us.
We have a member of staff who can assist with completing disability related benefit applications such as
- Attendance Allowance,
- Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
- Blue Badge.
We offer one to one appointments with Claire Robertson to talk about all things dementia related. These appointments must be booked in advance through the office.

Do you care for someone with dementia who lives with you?
We have a monthly support group for CARERS of people with dementia...
When: Second Wednesday of each month 10.30am and 12 noon
Where: Banstead Day Centre
There is no charge for this group.

This club is aimed specifically at our male clients who would like to get together with other men in a similar position to themselves and enjoy various activities, a glass of beer and a light lunch.
When: The first Friday of every month between 12pm and 2.00pm
Where: The Community Centre in Banstead.
If you'd like to come along to our next meeting please contact the office. There is a small charge to cover costs.
A lunchtime meet-up for older people in the area - most members are brought to the club by our Age Concern minibus or by a volunteer driver, although a few live nearby and walk to the meeting.
When: 3rd Wednesday each month
Where: Banstead Community Centre 11am to 2.30pm
We have a minibus which has been specially adapted to carry elderly clients and up to three wheelchair users. It is used most days to transport our elderly clients and is also available for hire at very reasonable rates for other organisations concerned with the elderly.
We have a pool of volunteers with their own cars to provide transport, and escort elderly patients to and from health and welfare appointments. A charge is made to cover costs.

Musical Memories is a weekly service for people with memory impairment AND their carers.
The group is led by professional musician Barbara Christopher.
When: Every Thursday afternoon
Where: Banstead Community Centre
A small charge is made for this service. Please contact the office for further details.
Help is available if you, or an elderly person you know, has difficulty getting out and about, due to illness or mobility problems.
We have a member of staff who can visit you at home to discuss any problems you might have and assist you in accessing the services that you require. In addition we have a Befriending Service – one of our Befrienders can pop in for a cup of tea and a chat on a regular basis if you are feeling lonely. All our Befrienders are volunteers who have been fully vetted.
There is no charge for either our Home Assessment or Befriending
Does your hearing aid need a change of battery or a bit of an overhaul?
We hold regular hearing aid clinics, this service is available every 4th Wednesday of the month. For more details of this free service please contact the office on 01737 352156.
Do you find it difficult to cut your toenails?
The cafe is a space to talk about the pain of bereavement, and to find mutual support and encouragement when you need it most.
Our Bereavement Café offers a chance to meet with others who understand the experience of loss.
When: The second Thursday of every month between 11.00am and 12.30
Where: Banstead Community Centre
