. . . your local charity helping to support the elderly in their own homes

Older people in the area regularly meet socially on alternative Wednesdays.

at the Kingswood Village Hall in Kingswood

On arrival, which is usually about 10 am, members have a choice of coffee or tea and biscuits. This is followed by a 2 course lunch at 12.30. The meeting closes at 2.30 pm with afternoon tea. A small charge  is made for the above.

Most members are brought to the club by our Age Concern minibus although a few live nearby and walk to the meeting.

We have the use of a large comfortable hall and kitchen. We have capacity for about 20 guests and 6 vounteers including Jane, our cook.

Special occasions are celebrated such as Christmas, Easter, Jubilees and 'noughtie' birthdays.

If you, or someone that you know, would like to come along please contact our office to check on availability.

Club activities

These include bingo. A knitting club is being set up, and musical entertainment is arranged several times a year.

Outings are arranged to local venues... Lunch at Heathside Hotel Burgh Heath is very popular, as is our annual visit to Lower Morden Garden Centre for Christmas shopping and roast turkey lunch.
